Glorious Baroque is a concert for lovers of sumptuous orchestral music. Experience a glittering showcase of rare 16th and 17th century works, including the Australian premiere of Zelenka’s sublime sinfonia from Il Diamante (The Diamond). Another baroque gem brought to life on period instruments will be Vivaldi’s violin concerto Il favorito, featuring Riccardo’s lyrical and dramatic music-making. Brandenburg favourites Jamie Hey and Melissa Farrow reveal the haunting beauty of a Sardelli cello concerto and the thrilling nocturnal landscape of Vivaldi’s La Notte (The Night).
